I think what you composed was actually very logical. However, what about this? what if you were to write a awesome headline? I am not suggesting your content isn't good., however what if you added a title to possibly get people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and see how they create article headlines to grab people to open the links. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people excited about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it could bring your blog a little livelier.
